We have an exciting opportunity for a Network Operations Trainee to undertake an Advanced Diploma of ESI - Power Systems over a four year program which will enable you to obtain industry skills and knowledge under the supervision of qualified and experienced professionals, while also attending TAFE to complete your certification. The location for this traineeship will be based at our Collins Street office in Melbourne however a hybrid working arrangement is on offer with a mix of in-office and WFH days. During the program, you will be a valued member of our team and will experience a variety of work environments within the electricity supply industry which will enhance your skills and career development opportunities. Here is how your 4 year traineeship will look First Year Basic GIS work - data entry & data cleanse activities Basic project close out - close out a project by entering data into the GIS from asset sheets (use SAP and GIS) Update of LV network - amend and correct low voltage reticulation to reflect the real world in comparison to the virtual world maintained within the GIS Asset inspection / mobile data upload management Second Year Basic creation of Proposed Assets in GIS - create GIS geographical views using design drawings, before and after diagrams and written scope, including the creation of logical views such as high voltage single line diagrams and zones substation single line diagrams Review proposed assets within real-time systems Creation of basic LV switching Instructions Third Year Creation of intermediate LV switching Instructions Intermediate project close out - close out a project by entering in GIS from asset sheets and as-built drawings (use AutoCAD, SAP and GIS) Intermediate proposed assets in GIS - create GIS geographical views using design drawings, before and after diagrams and written scope, including the creation of logical views such as high voltage single line diagrams and zones substation single line diagrams Fourth Year All tasks and activities that were done in the first three years of the traineeship, but with mínimal oversight and where the job may vary from basic to complex Analytics - use of spatial and aspatial tools to create map products and reports System testing - UAT where available About You This is an exciting time for our industry and we would love to be able to share this journey with someone who is committed and eager to learn.
