2025 Summer Intern, Finance

Madison Energy Infrastructure is seeking a Summer Finance Intern for 2025. The role involves research and analytical support in risk management, tax equity documentation, and assisting the debt team. Ideal candidates are rising Juniors or Seniors with interests in trading, operations, and the solar industry. The position is hybrid, requiring 4 days in the McLean, VA office and 1 day remote, with a pay of $30 per hour.

Madison Energy Infrastructure (“MEI”) believes in the power of clean energy infrastructure and has quickly emerged as a preeminent developer, investor, asset owner, and operator of distributed generation. This role represents a critical next step in MEI’s evolution toward offering direct, end-to-end services to Fortune 500 corporates, public entities, nonprofits, and other private customers alike.

What You'll Be Doing:
• Assisting with research and analytical support to build out risk management frameworks.
• Assisting with the maintenance of tax equity funding documentation.
• Assisting the debt team as needed on document retrieval and organization.
• Assisting with ad hoc projects as needed.
What We Are Looking For:
• A rising undergraduate Junior or Senior.
• Interest and/or experience in trading, customer service, or operations.
• Creative problem solving.
• Interest in the solar industry.
• Interest in working in a team environment and learning about the energy industry with real-life work experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Energetic and ready to tackle new projects and ideas.
• Hands-on, with careful attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Hard-working and able to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Deadline oriented.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to build strong interpersonal relationships

Compensation: $30 per hour

Location & Hours: This is a hybrid intern role that is based in our McLean, VA (Washington, DC) office, with a required 40-hours per week; 4 days in office and 1 day remote.
