Job Description

Kiewit is seeking an entry-level Equipment Engineer for its Oklahoma City location. The role involves supporting construction and mining operations by planning, scheduling, budgeting, and managing equipment reliability. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, managing logistics, and analyzing data to enhance equipment performance. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field and some experience with equipment are preferred. This is a full-time position with comprehensive benefits.
Position Overview

An entry-level equipment engineer will support Regional Construction & Mining operations. This position is responsible for planning, scheduling, budgeting, and managing the utilization and reliability of a construction and mining equipment fleet.

The main focus will be on improving equipment reliability, implementing, monitoring, auditing, and managing preventative maintenance programs.

This role will concentrate on equipment maintenance for projects in Power, Oil & Gas, and Energy sectors.

Responsibilities
• Comply with federal, state, and company health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Handle materials and procurement.
• Maintain tool/filter lists and documentation.
• Conduct inspections of equipment and parts.
• Manage logistics and communication.
• Plan and schedule long/short range equipment, as well as prepare budgets.
• Process paperwork to prepare for critical lifts.
• Analyze data to increase equipment availability and reliability.
• Maintain communications between all levels of supervision and management.
• Support craft maintenance technicians.
• Manage specialty projects as needed.

Qualifications
• A bachelor's degree in Diesel/Automotive Technology, Heavy Equipment Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Construction Management.
• 1+ year of experience with equipment preferred.
• 1+ year of experience with equipment planning, scheduling, and budgeting preferred.
• Strong work ethic, organizational skills, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work in office and field environments, and travel as required.
• Familiarity with CAD modeling programs preferred.
• Physical ability to access all points of a construction site or equipment yard.
