1092 Skeleton Creek Solar - Welder

Blattner Energy is seeking a 3G and 4G AWS certified welder for their 1092 Skeleton Creek Solar project in Avon, MN. Responsibilities include fabricating and welding steel components, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and working on heavy equipment. Candidates need a welding certificate or equivalent experience and must be willing to travel and relocate for the job. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), and education assistance.
Blatter is looking for a 3G and 4G, AWS certified welder to help us build.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
• Fabricates and welds steel components and repairs on heavy equipment with welding equipment as specified by layouts, drawings or specific needs.
• Troubleshoots mechanical and installation problems that supervisors are experiencing and fabricates custom tools/components to resolve construction problem; or locates an outside vendor to fabricate the necessary tools/components.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
• High School diploma or GED equivalent; or equivalent combinations of training and experience
• Welding certificate usually obtained through a 2-year welding program or a minimum of 5 years of welding and metal fabrication experience.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug and alcohol screen
• Willingness to travel and relocate to the job site (100% travel)

WHAT WILL SET YOU APART
• Construction experience/previous assembly experience in the solar industry
• Prefer advanced knowledge of work methods, techniques, materials and tools used in metal fabrication and welding.

Pay Range: $25.00 - 30.00 per hour; per diem based on eligibility

Individual compensation to be determined based on the applicant's applicable experience and qualifications balanced against internal equity and by specific location in alignment with applicable pay laws and regulations. Compensation is just one factor of our overall benefits package.
