Responsibilities
• Develop guidelines and transparent processes to approve product sustainability claims according to industry certifications and regulations.

• Support cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for reducing waste and using recycled materials.

• Manage relationships with certification bodies and third-party labs to ensure compliance with sustainability standards.

• Guide suppliers in understanding and achieving Walmart's sustainability goals.

• Collaborate with packaging, technical, and product development teams to leverage sustainable materials.

• Set sustainability goals and track performance for supported business units.

• Promote traceability, transparency, and compliance with suppliers and internal teams.

• Participate in industry committees and discussions to keep Walmart's sustainability initiatives relevant.

• Monitor commodity costs and market trends to propose sustainable options.

Requirements
• Bachelor's or master's degree in environmental science, engineering, or related field.

• At least 5 years of experience in sustainability initiatives, project management, or related fields.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
