Aboutthis job: We are currently seeking a Principal Fisheries Consultantto work on marine and freshwater fisheries and aquacultureprojects. The ideal candidatewill be highly qualified and motivated, with a minimum of 8 years’relevant experience. Your primary role will be to implementprojects within MRAG’s portfolio, but you will also need toparticipate and manage the full project cycle, from tendering toimplementation. Experience managing a diverse project portfolio andan established network of contacts is essential. Proficiency inadditional languages is an advantage. Required experience andskills: - Post-graduate degree in marine biology, fisheries scienceor another relevant subject. - Minimum of 8 years’ professionalexperience in fisheries and aquaculture sector. - Experiencemanaging the full project cycle, including contractual andbudgeting aspects. - Proven experience in new business developmentand a network of relevant contacts. - Experience leading andmanaging project teams. - Excellent written, presentation andquantitative analytic skills, with a track record of producing highquality outputs. - Broad geographical experience in projectsrelated to fisheries and aquaculture. - Strong communicationskills, both within teams and with clients and project partners.Additional languages are desirable but not essential. - Ability tomultitask across several projects, often to tight deadlines. -Knowledge of fisheries and climate change, ecosystem approach tofisheries management, the blue economy or marine spatial planningwould be desirable, but not essential.
