Job Description

Green Recruitment Company is seeking an Investment Banking Associate in London. The role involves leading financial analysis, due diligence, and deal structuring for transactions in energy infrastructure. Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience in investment banking or private equity, with strong financial modelling skills and understanding of emerging markets. Responsibilities include executing deals, supporting origination efforts, and managing client relationships.
Our client is a leading investment bank specializingin Energy Infrastructure across emerging markets. With a strongtrack record in advising on project finance, M&A, and capitalraising, they work with developers, institutional investors, andfinancial sponsors to structure and execute complex transactions inthe renewable energy, power, and infrastructure sectors. The Role:As a Senior Associate, you will play a key role in the execution oftransactions, leading financial analysis, due diligence, and dealstructuring while supporting origination efforts. The idealcandidate will have experience in investment banking,infrastructure finance, or private equity, with a strongunderstanding of emerging market dynamics. Key Responsibilities:Deal Execution: 1. Lead financial modelling, valuation analysis,and transaction structuring for M&A, project finance, andcapital raising deals. 2. Manage due diligence processes, workingclosely with legal, technical, and financial advisors. 3. Prepareinvestment memos, presentations, and other materials for seniormanagement, clients, and investors. 4. Negotiate key transactiondocuments, including term sheets, financing agreements, and sale& purchase agreements. Origination Support: 1. Conduct marketresearch and identify potential investment opportunities acrossemerging markets. 2. Support senior bankers in client interactions,pitch development, and relationship management. 3. Analyze industrytrends, regulatory changes, and macroeconomic factors impacting theenergy infrastructure sector. Stakeholder & Client Management:1. Collaborate with developers, institutional investors, privateequity firms, and DFIs to structure and close transactions. 2. Workclosely with senior leadership to drive deal origination andpipeline development. 3. Build and maintain relationships with keyindustry stakeholders, including banks, multilaterals, andgovernment bodies. Key Requirements: 1. 3-5 years of experience ininvestment banking, project finance, or private equity, with afocus on energy, infrastructure, or emerging markets. 2. Strongfinancial modelling and valuation skills, with expertise in DCF,LBO, and project finance models. 3. Proven experience executingM&A and/or capital-raising transactions in energy orinfrastructure. 4. Deep understanding of emerging markets and thechallenges/opportunities within these regions. 5. Strongnegotiation skills and experience managing due diligence processes.6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with theability to present to senior stakeholders. 7.
