About the Role

• We are seeking a part-time Financial Officer with expertise in financial management and sustainability to oversee the financial operations of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Management
">
• Report monthly/quarterly financials via digital software.
• Paying invoices due via bank account and registering with project code for accounting purposes.
• Tracking credit card expenses and ensuring diligent document keeping.
• Making purchases for office materials and staff needs after approval from the HR Team.

Banking and Credit Card Management
">
• Resolving any bank or credit card issues in a timely manner.

Payroll and Travel Cost Statements (TCS)

• Understanding and processing payroll together with the HR Team.
• Coodinating TCS for staff transport/accommodation by ensuring receipt and proof of payments.

Financial Analysis and Reporting
">
• Conducting in-depth financial analysis to prepare crucial reports, such as the balance sheet and income statement.
• Ensuring proper encoding in the project overview forecasting and tracking folder once monthly staff timesheets recording is approved.
• Coordinating project financial reporting for quality control check.

Team Collaboration

• Collaborating with the Financial Officer in Brussels to establish and fortify the financial infrastructure.

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy or Financial Management.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of Spanish accounting and payroll system.
• Diligent attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and numerical analysis.
• Efficient time management.
• Competent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluent in English.
• Experience with different EU-funded projects is an asset.
