GHG Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Risk Surveyor to conduct risk control surveys across the UK for various commercial and industrial risks. The role involves on-site and desktop assessments, report production, and collaboration with other teams. Job Description Excellent opportunity for anexperienced Risk Surveyor to join a high quality Claims and RiskManagement business. GHG Solutions is a leading provider of RiskSurveying and Management Services to the UK insurance market. Dueto continued growth within our business, we have opportunities forboth trainee and experienced Risk Consultants, to join our teamundertaking Material Damage, Business Interruption, Security andLiability risk control surveys across a wide-ranging spectrum ofcommercial and industrial risks throughout the UK. To be successfulin this role you will have an understanding of insurance gainedfrom a current or previous role in risk control, risk management,brokering, underwriting, engineering or claims areas. As a memberof the Risk Services team, you will be home based engaging directlywith the customer. What will you be responsible for: - Carry outon-site and desktop assessments determining whether hazards areadequately managed, identifying and negotiating risk mitigation andreduction programmes. - Produce reports to agreed quality. -Prioritises individual workloads to deliver services efficientlyand effectively to agreed service level agreements. - Collaboratewith other business areas, dealing with technical referrals,training, and sharing of best practices as appropriate. What weneed from you: - An understanding of a range of risks and requiredrisk management solutions and control measures. - Knowledge of riskmanagement and loss prevention practices. - Understand buildingconstruction and design, fire protection standards, protection, andsuppression systems. - Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation,codes of practice, guidance, and industry standards. - Ability toanalyse and interpret underwriting information. - Competent IT andkeyboard skills, with a working knowledge of MS software productswith the ability to adapt to in-house systems. - Developedpresentation and communications skills with the ability tonegotiate and influence. - Professional qualifications aligned toyour experience for example NEBOSH general certificate - A full UKdriving license.
