BLUEWAVE NEW ENERGY is seeking a Business Development Officer in Lagos, Nigeria, focused on the solar and energy storage sectors. The role involves identifying business opportunities, building customer relationships, and driving sales growth. Candidates should have over 3 years of relevant experience and a proven sales record. Responsibilities include market research, customer relationship management, and contract negotiation. This is a full-time position with no remote work options.
Job Title: Business Development Officer – Renewable Energy

Job Summary

Location: Ikeja

We are looking for a highly motivated and goal-driven Business Development Officer to identify new business opportunities, build strong customer relationships and drive revenue growth in the solar and energy storage industries. The ideal candidate will have experience in sales, market research and lead generation and a passion for sustainable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities
• Distributor Development and Acquisition: Identify potential customers, partners and distributors for solar panels, inverters and batteries, and build a strong sales channel.
• Market Research and Analysis: Conduct industry research to understand market trends, competitor activities and customer needs.
• Sales and Revenue Growth: Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business goals and expand market share.
• Customer Relationship Management: Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing and potential customers to drive long-term business growth.
• Proposal and Contract Negotiation: Prepare business proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals with partners and customers.

Job Requirements
• Have more than 3 years of experience in the solar energy or inverter industry, and the most recent work must be in the above industries.
• The individual’s average monthly sales in the industry must have exceeded N15 million in the past
• Candidates need to have extensive dealer resources in Lagos, such as Alaba Market, Arena Market, Computer Village, and the number of dealers they cooperate with is more than 10
• Candidates must be accustomed to working under the company's standard workflow and work very hard to visit clients. Must participate in daily attendance, attend weekly meetings, use CRM to upload, follow up and provide feedback on client informationPromotion mechanism and standards

Promotion path:BD→BDM→NSMr→Senior Management Position.
