Eco-Friendly Solutions Specialist

beBeeSustainability is seeking an Eco-Friendly Solutions Specialist in Niles, IL. The role involves working with packaging suppliers, creating 3D models using CAD software, and monitoring sustainable packaging metrics. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Packaging Engineering or Science and preferably some internship experience. The position is full-time with a salary range of $70K–$130K annually.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of packaging materials and structures, manufacturing processes, and supply chain logistics. You will work closely with our packaging suppliers to validate existing documentation and parts, and create fully defined 3D models and associated 2D documentation using CAD software.
• Cataloging and updating existing packaging parts and documentation is essential for maintaining accuracy and efficiency in our packaging process.
• Reducing the environmental impact of our packaging by monitoring and reporting on sustainable packaging performance metrics such as cost, carbon footprint, and waste reduction is crucial for our company's sustainability goals.

As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging sustainable packaging technologies. Your ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment, soliciting guidance and input from team members when needed, is vital to your success in this role.
Requirements
• In-process of a Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering or Packaging Science.
• Previous packaging internship experience is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with packaging specific software such as ArtiosCAD and Cape Pack Palletizing Software is an asset.
