POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Project Manager plays a critical role in Greenpeace USA's campaign strategy, particularly concerning protecting the right to protest. This role involves implementing campaign strategies across various work streams, crafting project roadmaps, collaborating with departments and consultants, and raising campaign visibility.

**Location:** Any approved Greenpeace locations - CA, NY Metro area, DC Metro area **Reporting to:** National Campaigns Director **Duration:** 8-month contract with possibility of extension

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

**Strategy**

  • Execute campaign strategy across work streams
  • Develop comprehensive project roadmap for public facing campaigns
  • Align digital engagement strategies with overall objectives

**Collaboration and Communication**

  • Guide and supervise the project team
  • Collaborate with strategic allies to amplify messaging
  • Enhance team structures and communication channels

**Leadership and Decision Making**

  • Facilitate decision-making processes
  • Oversee budget allocation and financial tracking
  • Mitigate project risks and escalate issues as needed

**Other Duties**

  • Additional duties may be assigned as team priorities shift

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

**Required**

  • 10+ years of project management experience
  • Deep understanding of project management methodologies
  • Working knowledge of US progressive movement

**Preferred**

  • Professional certification (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master)
  • Experience in coaching project team members

**REQUIRED SKILLS COMPETENCIES ABILITIES**

  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strategic critical thinking skills

COMPENSATION

Greenpeace offers competitive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage with low staff contributions.
