Job Description

As a Safety Engineer for our Wind Operating Group at Mortenson, you will have the opportunity to influence behavior and drive positive change in the construction industry. You will be responsible for implementing Mortenson's Zero Injury program at project sites, starting in Texas. The role involves ensuring a safe work environment for team members, subcontractors, and visitors. Responsibilities

• Conduct safety orientation and training programs
• Document and track safety violations and unsafe conditions
• Conduct safety audits and data analysis
• Review safety submittals and attend meetings with subcontractors
• Assist with injury management and safety celebrations
• Provide safety resources and solutions
• Stay updated on construction safety regulations and standards
• Coordinate OSHA reporting and inspections

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety, occupational health, or related field
• STS/CHST Certification or OSHA 30 Hour Training
• Minimum seven years of construction experience
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks
