What you’ll do:
As a Legal Counsel you will primarily focus on providing day-to-day inhouse legal counsel support to Northland’s German service organisation and Northland’s offshore windfarm project. The role is based in Hamburg.###

Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts, including complex contracts for the operation and maintenance of windfarms, as well as other project-related contracts with suppliers and service providers
  • Supporting the relevant corporate functions and advising on a wide variety of legal issues including contracts for work and services, commercial and corporate law, and energy law
  • Working closely together with different departments, in particular, contract & claim management and procurement and external stakeholders
  • Providing legal support and advice on dispute management and resolution
  • Advising on legal risks and developing strategies to mitigate such risks
  • Preparing updates on legal developments and conducting internal trainings
  • Providing support to maintaining relevant permits for the operation of windfarms and complying with grid connection conditions
  • Being an integral member of Northland’s global legal team

Qualifications and experience

  • Full qualification as a lawyer (university degree and German second state law examination (Volljurist) with above average results
  • Fluent in both English and German, verbally and in writing; Polish language skills are considered an advantage
  • Professional experience in a law-firm or in-house legal department with the renewable sector is considered an advantage
  • Enjoys working in a motivated and international team and with other departments.
  • Good communication skills, able to work both independently and in a team
