Job Description

You’ll be working with the Operations and Engineering team.

This team runs on coffee with an infectious passion to build products that have never been built before. Our Flexible Energy Stack consists of the e^pack (battery pack) and e^pump (charging station) which together unlock 15-minute rapid charging.

What you'll do:

Utilize appropriate engineering techniques and considerations of manufacturing processes and technology to develop innovative and cost-effective design solutions considering applicable safety and environmental regulations and standards.

Support Timely manufacturing Issue resolution through direct interfacing with plant and manufacturing personnel supporting DFM requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for leading VCD (Vendor Component Development) including Metal, Rubber, Plastic, Electrical Components.
  • Drive collaboration between onsite and offsite parties.
  • Work effectively with a cross-functional team of individuals on complex problems.
  • Working, validating & verifying of a Design feasibility study for new conceptual designs in terms of DFM/A and VAVE
  • New manufacturing processes introduction for project requirements and cost advantage
  • Complete documentation ( such as CP, PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, MSA, PSW as per requirements) to support build resolution.
  • Control of engineering standards for metal manufacturing.
  • Experience in Tooling, Gauging, SPM.
  • Minimizing performance bottlenecks for higher productivity by maximizing men, material, and machine
  • Having knowledge of 3D,(SolidWorks)
  • Analyze and perform quantitative assessment of design prototypes in line with regulatory and industry norms to tackle all regulatory and marketing issues.
  • Support Engineering and manufacturing Launch activities for new products.
  • Identify and collect information pertinent to engineering calculations in order to analyze and resolve design problems.
  • Effective communication of issues/ideas/concepts and solutions.
  • Work effectively with Supplier Quality/Manufacturing to ensure designs are efficient for manufacturing and able to meet quality requirements
  • Execute basic to moderately complex engineering designs with limited guidance.
  • Effective and clear communication via design reviews of concepts in order to foster detailed discussions to reach conclusions.
  • Provide and communicate creative solutions to problems

The Ideal Candidate requires:

  • Complete understanding of metal manufacturing processes. (both modern and conventional techniques)
  • Should understand the tooling and gauging
  • Should have knowledge of using SolidWorks at least Basic level.
  • Knowledge of DFMEA/PFMEA, DFM, GD&T and DFA, and other robust tools to build foolproof products.
  • Knowledge of Quality documentation -such as CP, PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, MSA, PSW
  • Knowledge of inspection methodology and techniques
  • Knowledge of statistical process control.
