CAD Engineer

You’ll be working with the Product & Engineering team.

This team runs on coffee with an infectious passion for building products that have never been built before. Our Flexible Energy Stack consists of the e^pack (battery pack) and e^pump (charging station), which unlock 15-minute rapid charging.

What you'll do:

Manage a team of CAD engineers to ensure quality and timely delivery of design releases.

Support Timely Issue resolution through direct interfacing with CAD and R&D personnel supporting DFX requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Design and development of components and assemblies.
• BOM generation and handling PDM/PLM for production.
• Ensuring hygiene and quality standards on CAD across teams.
• PDM integration and hygiene for multiple projects
• Design review and release management
• Documentation standardisation and PDM tool management
• ECN/ECR and release process management
• Handling CAD quality across teams by training and monitoring existing CAD engineers
• Ensuring CAD resource allocation across teams

The Ideal Candidate requires:

1. Proficiency in CAD software preferably Solidworks
2. Knowledge of vehicle integration and system integration is a plus
3. Sound skillset on CAD hygiene, BOM, Release process, GD&T, PLM/PDM, and documentation
4. Skill set on modeling, surfacing, engineering drawings, and review process
5. Knowledge of DFM - Injection molding, sheet metals, and casting
6. Knowledge of DFA, DFS, and DFT
7. Task prioritization and design sensitivity
8. Min 6 years of experience preferred
