Position Description

This position is ideal for a candidate looking to enter the solar industry. The successful candidate will work closely with our project developers and real estate team and will be primarily responsible for populating land leases, performing lease onboarding functions and ordering title commitments and surveys. Time permitting, this position will also assist the US Solar Minneapolis office with various administrative tasks.

The ideal candidate must be able to self-manage, problem solve, communicate and work cooperatively with others to support US Solar’s overall operations. Prior experience in commercial real estate is preferred, but not required.

Key Responsibilities

· Populate form leases, amendments, purchase agreements and other real estate documents

· Coordinate with necessary parties to process and facilitate lease terminations

· Receive leases and other relevant documents in the mail, scan and upload the same to US Solar’s document management system

· Maintain physical and virtual records of outstanding and completed documents

· Mail documents and other communication to landowners and internal clients

· Perform all aspects of lease onboarding, including quality assurance reviews, coordinating document execution and recording documents with applicable land records office

· Track progress of all lease onboarding and make viewable to others

· Support US Solar’s project developers with other matters as required

· Coordinate with US Solar’s finance team to monitor and mail upcoming payments to landowners and other parties

· Act as a liaison between US Solar’s project developers and US Solar’s legal counsel

· Communicate with title companies and surveyors, order and manage title commitments and surveys, and conduct initial reviews of the same

· Assist and work closely with US Solar’s Real Estate Manager to resolve early-stage title curative tasks

· Serve as a Notary for US Solar

Requirements

· Working knowledge Office365, Excel, Word, spreadsheet analysis, project scheduling and data management software

· Ability to learn land record office recording software/systems
