Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed energy audits, identifying areas for efficiency improvements and automation opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the software development team to translate energy audit processes into automated, scalable software solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance on HVAC systems and building energy performance for product development.
  • Drive the integration of energy efficiency measures and sustainable practices into our software platform.
  • Contribute to developing and refining tools and methodologies for building energy analysis.

Minimum experience

  • 5+ years of experience in building energy auditing and commissioning.
  • Bachelor's Degree, MS, or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related fields.
  • Strong technical understanding of HVAC&R systems, fault detection & diagnostics, and MEP systems.
  • Proficiency in Energy Modeling software (e.g., EnergyPlus, eQuest, OpenStudio).
  • In-depth knowledge of ASHRAE standards and building codes, ensuring compliance and optimal energy performance.
  • Proficiency in navigating and applying for 179D tax incentives, coupled with a thorough understanding of the Inflation Reduction Act and related tax benefits.

Preferred experience

  • Proficient in conducting compliance-level energy modeling.
  • Insight into web application UX strategies for product development.
  • Interest or experience in programming (Python, C++, or C)
