Rebound has developed a freeze point suppression cycle that offers a 3-in-1 solution, combining agile freezing, unprecedented humidity control and demand response capabilities for frozen food processors and cold chain logistics companies. Rebound’s IcePoint meets varying cooling demands while simultaneously optimizing moisture levels equating to improved system performance, increased productivity, lower demand charges and excellent return on investment. Rebound’s IcePoint thermal storage capability has already proven to be the cheapest battery on the planet and will support decarbonization of the grid via year-round thermal storage and flexible demand. IcePoint thermal storage capability is supported via the Inflation Reduction Act and utility rebate programs. Rebound Technologies has received funding from the National Science Foundation, The U.S. Department of Energy, Clean Energy Ventures, Skyview Ventures, and others. Rebound commissioned its first full-scale commercial installation in 2023 and has demonstrated excellent performance with the world’s largest cold chain warehouse and distribution center, owner/operator – Lineage Logistics.
