**eVinci Nuclear Design Intern**

**Location:** Burlington, Ontario, Canada **Work Arrangement:** Hybrid working arrangement of up to 3 days per week on-site

**About the Opportunity**

Join Westinghouse Electric Canada's innovative team dedicated to clean energy solutions. As an intern, you will work on the eVinci microreactor program, gaining experience in analyzing and designing various aspects of the eVinci and AstroVinci reactor designs, from fuel behavior to reactor physics and thermal analysis.

**What will you do**

  • Gain exposure to nuclear thermal mechanical analysis and design of systems and components related to the reactor system.
  • Experience reactor engineering design and analysis in areas such as neutronics, thermal hydraulics, and radiation for steady-state and transient conditions.
  • Familiarize yourself with NRC or DOE regulations for nuclear design and accident analyses.
  • Learn about common and new nuclear materials and properties for modeling and design.
  • Work on engineering design calculations, specifications, process diagrams, and procedures for developing advanced reactor conceptual and preliminary designs.
  • Develop test plans to validate models and parameters.
  • Identify technical issues and challenges, leading efforts for successful resolution.

**What will you bring**

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or a recent graduate in an Engineering field.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Teamwork abilities with the capacity to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects and tasks.
