This is a remote position.
Summary of Role
The VP, Business Development, Home Builder Private Equity Partnerships will be responsible for focusing on developing Home Builders to deliver Palmetto’ suite of solar solutions.
Strategic & Tactical
- Leads business development efforts that focus on leveraging our financial products to deliver a differentiated offering to Homebuilder clients
- Develops and implements a comprehensive partnership strategy to expand Palmetto’s presence in the build to rent and REIT platforms
- Leverages experience in the REIT/PE community to drive scale and engagement quickly
- Ensures partnership and transparency between the Palmetto Energy and Palmetto Finance platforms to ensure no cannibalization of partnerships
- Focuses on Palmetto Energy growth, followed by account development on the Palmetto Finance platform
- Identifies opportunities, build relationships, and execute objectives to achieve our business objectives
- Delivers new ideas, segments, and thought leadership to discuss other opportunities to expand the platform
- Keeps informed on industry trends, regulations, technological advancements, and conducts market research and intelligence to identify opportunities for growth
- Collaborates with internal teams, including Technology, Finance, Revenue, and Operations, to ensure successful implementation and delivery of solar solutions to external customers
- Partners with the Head of Commercialization & GTM to support growth within the platform
- Works in close partnership with the SVP, GM Palmetto Finance and SVP, Strategy & Head of Operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA a plus
- 10+ years of demonstrated experience in a sales and business development role, with experience in the REIT and home builder industry preferred
- Deep understanding of the residential solar industry and its market dynamics
- Ability to ideate, develop and execute strategic plans, in close collaboration with internal and external partners and stakeholders
- Highly motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced customer-centric environment where priorities may change quickly
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
