We are seeking a VP/SVP of Professional Services to join our team and help us achieve our ambitious goals for our business and the planet.
**What you get to do** As the VP/SVP Professional Services, you will play a critical role in starting, leading, and overseeing the professional services division of Uplight. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to deliver exceptional client experiences, manage project implementations, and drive the growth and profitability of the professional services department. This role requires a visionary leader who can collaborate cross-functionally and grow, inspire a high-performing team. The role will be part of the Senior Leadership Team and report to the Chief Strategy Officer.
**What you will contribute**
- Lead the development and implementation of the strategic vision for the professional services division, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Direct an early-stage business unit to achieve short-term revenue and margin goals.
- Set up processes and a culture conducive to transformative growth within 2-5 years.
- Manage and mentor a diverse team of project managers, consultants, and technical experts, promoting collaboration, innovation, and improvement.
- Oversee the creation and implementation of best practices and methodologies focused on consistency, quality, and efficiency.
- Work closely with sales and account management to understand client needs and deliver exceptional solutions.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.
- Analyze KPIs to evaluate division performance, identify improvement areas, and drive operational excellence.
- Cultivate strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and point of escalation.
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in professional services and project management.
**What you bring to Uplight**
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with an MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Over 15 years of experience in professional services project management or a related field in the utility industry, including a history of leading successful projects.
- Experience in starting and leading high-growth startups or business units.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, drive accountability, and foster collaboration.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, skilled in engaging with senior clients, internal stakeholders, and the board of directors.
- Strategic thinker capable of developing and executing long-term growth and profitability plans.
- Proficient in project management methodologies and tools.

**Salary Range:** $200,000 - $255,000. In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate annual base compensation range is listed above. The actual offer reflecting the total compensation package and benefits will be determined by a number of factors, including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
