Are you seeking a company that inspires and empowers you to deliver your best work so you can evolve, grow and succeed today and into tomorrow? By joining our team as a senior professional engineer, you'll be a lead technical engineer on rail structural design projects and perform complex structural analysis and design. We'll ask you to assist with planning, analysis, design, plan preparation, specification development, quantity and cost estimating, and report writing. We regularly work with geotechnical, highway, and hydraulic engineers, so you will use your general understanding of those disciplines to coordinate project work.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Provide regional and/or multi-sector leadership to ensure structural engineering subject matter technical deliverables.
  • Offer direction and expertise to ensure project and work site deliverables are successfully achieved within the business sector.
  • Ensure that goals or objectives of rail projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
  • Lead larger scale, more complex structural engineering projects.
  • Prepare and oversee relevant project budgets.
  • Provide proactive and strategic leadership for the structural engineering discipline and function.

**Requirements:**

  • BS in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensed in NY, multi-state preferred.
  • Substantial years of relevant post-education experience in engineering structural civil and infrastructure design.
  • Knowledge of construction drawing standards.
  • Competent in using building Code and understanding of ACI and AISC provisions.
  • Proficient in using STAAD, SAP, RAM Steel to analyze building structures.
  • Competent in using AutoCAD and MicroStation, ability to utilize REVIT or Bentley in BIM.
  • Skilled in using MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience within Transportation industry and Understanding of AREMA.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects.
  • Self-starter and can work independently.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • MS in Civil Engineering with focus on Structural Engineering.

The base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $180,000.
