We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Project Manager / Mechanical Engineer who will be responsible for overseeing mechanical designs, calculations, and specifications for HVAC and plumbing building systems. This role involves project management, client interaction and presentations, fee estimating, proposal writing, mechanical design, specification writing, leading other mechanical engineers and designers on projects, quality reviews, and coordination with other engineering disciplines and architects on projects. Requirements
- Licensed Professional Engineer
- 10+ years of experience in Mechanical Building Systems (HVAC & Plumbing)
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architectural Engineering.
- Skilled Revit and CADD user
Responsibilities
Provide quality control on projects that are produced by lower level engineers
Perform all engineering analysis required and develop quality design for projects
Work closely with other engineers, designers, and technicians to meet deadlines and client expectations
Manage shop drawings and submittals
Provide construction administration
Assistant with project management on select projects
Manage project issues and resolutions
Provide feedback on standards and best practices
Provide our clients with quality service and on-time project delivery
Lead, mentor and support a team.
Participate in project interviews and pursuits.
Cultivate effective relationships with clients, customers and contractors.
Desired Skills
Experience with complex systems on institutional / government healthcare facilities
Understanding of current building codes & regulations
Extremely responsive and dedicated to meeting expectations
Personable individuals who are able to earn the trust of others
Proven ability to work to tight deadlines in a team environment
Proven producer of detailed, thorough, and error free work product
Adept at prioritizing workload and proactively communicating in order to ensure deadlines are met
Ability to apply technical expertise quickly and offer client’s strong solutions in the field
Expert level understanding of MEP drawings and specifications
