**What you'll be doing:**

  • Conduct research to solve critical issues where a solution is uncertain and highly ambiguous.
  • Propose and implement alternative solutions and challenge the status quo.
  • Implement research ideas, conduct experiments, and summarize results and findings.
  • Publish findings and new methods to top-tier conferences and journals.

**What you must have:**

  • Enrollment in a PhD program in an AV related field (e.g., computer vision, machine learning, robotics, control) with multiple research publications in top conferences or journals.
  • Strong expertise in machine learning, computer vision, graphics, robotics.
  • Track record of driving ML research projects from start to completion, including conception, problem definition, experimentation, iteration, and publication.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and/or C.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

**Bonus points for:**

  • Experience using deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).
  • Experience in deploying perception algorithms and models into real-world environments.
  • Experience in the autonomous driving industry.

**Compensation:** The hourly rate range for this position is $48.75 - $68.00 per hour. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. These ranges are subject to change.
