The Opportunity

The WestRock Recycled Fiber Division is looking for an Outside Sales Representative - Fiber Buyer with strong people skills to sell our recycling solutions in the greater Louisville area markets. We seek a sales representative who excels at hunting for new clients and nurturing existing client relationships to drive growth. The ideal candidate is a hunter who can bring in new accounts while maintaining and increasing the value of current accounts in collaboration with the plant operations team. If you have experience in cold calling, building client relationships, and strong negotiation skills leading to deal closures, this could be a great fit for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and reach potential customers through in-person visits, cold calling, self-generated leads, networking, and referrals
  • Manage existing business relationships to achieve pricing goals by implementing retention strategies and negotiating to secure contract agreements
  • Present creative solutions to prospective clients and close sales
  • Provide excellent customer service, build long-term relationships with customers
  • Collaborate with the team to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and identify new business opportunities
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)

Requirements:

  • Proven success in B2B sales
  • Experience in account management and building customer relationships
  • Price negotiation skills and margin enhancement experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical skills to understand market trends and customer needs
  • Sense of ownership, drive for results, and desire to win
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
