Management Administration

**Grants and Compliance Director**

**Position Summary** Tewa Women United's Grants and Compliance Director (G/C Director) will work under the supervision of the Executive Director (ED) and closely with the Finance Director and Associate Director. The G/C Director will be responsible for administrative activities, grant writing, and reporting for all grants awarded to Tewa Women United. This will include coordinating financial and narrative reporting to funders, supporting contracts with subrecipients, monitoring finance, and helping support Program Managers in tracking expenses related to the funding sources and helping generate relevant finance reports. In addition, the G/C Director will be responsible for the preparation of grant proposals, including support with generating budgets, collecting documentation from staff and collaborators, and providing administrative support for grant submissions in a timely and accurate manner.

**Primary Duties** **Grant Management for awarded funds**

  • Provide support to the Program Manager with timely expense tracking, requests to the Finance Director for generation of finance reports, and format for such reports
  • Prepare and upload submission of grant reports
  • Support accounting and finance activities, including reviewing invoices, monitoring payments to subcontracts and stakeholders, accounting and expense reporting, reviewing monthly expenses, supporting budget monitoring, and supporting annual financial audits as needed.

**Training and Classes** Participate in trainings, classes for staff, service providers, and the community on various topics including but not limited to Reproductive Justice, Environmental Justice, Gender Justice, and TWU Organization. Commit to ongoing professional skill development and an anti-oppression practice approach.

**Campaign Movement Building and Connection** Support other TWU Programs as needed and indicated in scopes of work with supervisors' pre-approval. Assist in coordinating and implementing TWU Campaigns. Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

**Qualifications Required**

  • Master's Degree, 2-year relevant experience, or Bachelor's Degree, 3 years relevant experience, or 6 years relevant work experience
  • At least 2 years of grant administration experience including managing a federal grant
  • Demonstrated track record in grant and finance management of similar programs and/or organizations
  • Strong and proven technical skills in grant management
  • Leadership skills reflected in the ability to listen to diverse perspectives, make sound judgments based on organizational priorities, and provide effective and transparent communication regarding the process and outcomes of organizational decision-making
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to quickly master subject matter and see it in the context of a broader operational framework
  • Ability to reflect TWU values and be a role model in positivity for partners and staff
  • Knowledge of Tewa Pueblo culture and experience working in Tewa Pueblo communities
  • Prior experience in a complex, fast-paced environment.
