Our unique solution combines power and data at the kerb to deliver user-friendly and reliable charging and provide the foundation for connected cities and communities.

Due to rapid growth, we are seeking an EV Infrastructure Planner with mapping and software skills to assist in the identification and approval of sites suitable for EV charging infrastructure. The successful candidate will have the chance to work with the most advanced urban planning technologies in the industry and have a key role in shaping these technologies to help us build on our reputation as one of the UK's most innovative companies.

Working closely with both the operations and digital teams, the successful candidate will see their decisions made real in the built environment, helping speed the transition to sustainable mobility.

This role is hybrid with the flexibility to work remotely however office days will be required for team collaboration, generally a day per week. The successful candidate will be given the space to grow their skills in a stimulating work environment that will complement their continued education in both formal and informal settings.

Key deliverables in this role:* Identify, analyse, and propose viable sites using mapping software to support the development of public and private charge point networks

  • Conduct feasibility studies confirming the viability of proposed sites from a construction and electric infrastructure perspective
  • Collect, manage, and visualise spatial data using applications such as QGIS to support internal and external planning activities
  • Guide our in-house AI site selection tool, supporting the product owner to improve the tool by offering recommendations for improved processes and features
  • Engage with key internal stakeholders to provide progress updates and navigate the process of gaining site approval
  • Provide ad hoc support to project managers and other team members

RequirementsAbout you:

  • Degree qualification in Urban Planning, Transport Planning, Human Geography, or a similar subject. A combination of relevant work experience and education will be considered
  • While it's preferred to have 1+ years of experience in urban planning, transport planning, or the EV sector, we welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds and levels of experience. We believe that a combination of relevant education and a passion for shaping the future of cities and transportation can be just as valuable.   • Good understanding of the role of spatial data in the modern urban planning field, with a clear vision of its applications and uses
  • Excellent map reading skills and an understanding of the UK's urban landscape
  • Ability to research and identify best practice in the urban and transportation planning as well as EVs
  • Enjoys managing competing priorities and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve results
  • Good interpersonal and presentational skills
  • Proficient in the use of major I.T. packages, including Microsoft Suite and Salesforce
  • Desirable -Some knowledge and experience of GIS platforms such as QGIS, ArcGIS, or other mapping software to be able to conduct spatial analysis exercises and create attractive, informative maps for internal and external audience.
