Director of EPC Operations: EV Charging

Brightsmith has been retained to search for an Operations Director poised to lead the operational foundation of a rising star in the EV Charging industry. In this role, you will have the chance to build the operational backbone of a future market leader from scratch, setting the stage for hyper-growth and unrivaled customer impact.

As the Operations Director, you'll be the right hand to the COO, shaping and executing strategies across all operational fronts, both internal and external (including ensuring charger uptime is above market expectations. You will drive efficiency and excellence across engineering, construction, safety, purchasing, inventory management, and beyond. Playing a pivotal role in transforming operational blueprints into operational excellence, pioneering change, optimizing workflows, and shaping the future of electric vehicle infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Craft and deploy standardized processes across all operational realms, ensuring seamless execution from concept to completion.
• Employ your expertise in business process mapping to identify efficiency gaps and unlock hidden potentials.
• Lead interdisciplinary workshops to enhance task performance and optimize operational strategies.
• Take charge of specific operational domains, ensuring top-notch quality, safety adherence, and budget compliance.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to pinpoint bottlenecks, innovate solutions, and propel continuous improvement.
• Oversee procurement activities, from vendor vetting to contract negotiations, to meet project demands and operational needs.
• Implement inventory management strategies to streamline stock levels and boost equipment availability.
• Spearheaded cost-saving initiatives while enhancing operational efficiency and profitability.
• • Provide transformative leadership, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.

The ideal applicant will possess:

• A background in EV CHarging, Renewables, or related sector
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A proven track record (5+ years) in EPC operations management, spanning engineering, construction, safety, purchasing, and inventory.
• Exceptional leadership skills, motivating teams to surpass ambitious goals.
• A knack for problem-solving, analytics, and driving results in dynamic environments.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, adept at building strong relationships.

Proficiency in project management tools, safety protocols, and operations optimization software.- Experience in startup environments, thriving amidst innovation and ambiguity, is highly desirable
