Job Description

Our Client is a fast-growing technology provider in the high and medium-voltage energy sector and is currently looking for a senior business development director for Chile and neighbouring countries.

This role will oversee business development, sales, and marketing activities. It will partner with manufacturing parters, EPC's, investors, developers, lenders, and industrial and utility companies as they increasingly seek new products and solutions to expand their grids, reduce their carbon footprints, and operate more efficiently.

This role already has an established footprint within the region, and the ideal candidate will not only nurture existing relationships but will also lead initiatives to generate and engage with business partners to build new business for the company. We seek a candidate who is relationship-focused, has strong communication skills, thinks critically when making plans, and can demonstrate the ability to execute a particular strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Developing key customers and key projects within the utilities and then working to win the project. Developing the strategy to close the deal with the customer.
  • Develop and implement a plan to grow products to target markets and key accounts.
  • Shape and craft value propositions for the market
  • Maintain and nurture existing relationships
  • Think critically when planning to ensure project success
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities and using this information to inform business development strategy and planning

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 7 - 10 years' prior industry-related business development experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with utilities
  • Self-starter, able to drive and foster enduring relationships and build a quality pipeline.
  • Ability to work semi-autonomously while being a member of a tight-knit team
  • Ability to adapt to changing market needs and draw out customer requirements.
  • Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies
  • Focused and goal-oriented
  • Travel throughout the territory will be required
