We’re looking for a Director of Short-Term Power Optimization to join our Team in Milan. This role will focus on setting up and leading the short-term route to market and trading activities.

Job Location: Milan or Rome

Main task and duties:

• and executing a business plan for route to market and short-term optimization activities for Enfinity’s photovoltaic projects, taking into account existing long term PPA contracts and Facility Agreement parameters.
• a strategy for participating in day-ahead (MGP), intraday (MI/XBID) and ancillary services (MSD) Italian markets, as well as managing power plants operations on Italian Power Markets
• scheduling and forecasting activities.
• the potential to provide energy-related services to third-party entities.
• capital requirements, including bonds, working capital, IT infrastructure and Human Resources necessary for route to market operations.
• HR costs and proactively identifying suitable candidates for future hires.
• efficient processes and standardized procedures for energy trading and risk management within the unit, with a focus on minimizing potential risks.
• closely with the Storage Team to develop and implement business plans aimed at optimizing battery systems.
• the Market Intelligence team in refining models and PPA pricing tools.

Qualifications for the Director of Short-Term Power Optimization include:

• minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
• knowledge of dispatching strategies, asset-backed trading, and risk management techniques in the energy sector.
• analytical skills to interpret market trends, identify opportunities, and make informed decisions.
• mindset, proactive attitude, ability to handle pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• in English and Italian communication; proficiency in any other language is a plus.
• proficiency in MS office, particularly (but not limited to) Excel and PowerPoint, as well as Refinitiv Eikon.
