Position Title:

Customer Quality Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Communicate customer needs in a timely and accurate manner to all relevant departments of the company
• Lead internal audits, work with different departments, propose solutions to non-conformities, and follow up
• Liaise with the client during visits, assist with client audits, review issues after audits, and continuously track non-conformities until all issues are closed
• Provide quality after-sales service for products and ensure customer satisfaction
• Provide written technical responses to Customers on quality issues (i.e., 8D)
• Lead cross-functional teams to investigate quality issues and drive solutions
• Lead and supervise Quality Control activities
• Assume responsibility for technical responses to customers on quality issues, lead investigations, and drive corrective actions
• Work with certification department and laboratories to pass on the latest certification requirements of customers
• Achieve High Customer Satisfaction
• Develop control documents and customer required quality documentation
• Provide training, coach Customer Quality Specialist
• Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Canadian Solar Solution Code of Business Conduct
• Support ISO 9001 activities
• Adhere to all environmental health and safety rules and policies
• Conduct other duties as required

Qualifications and Experience:

• A relevant degree such as Bachelor's or University Degree in Engineering, Technical Electrical Engineering, Science Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or Electronics
• Good current working knowledge of AIAG standards, PQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Cpk, SPC, 8D, Six Sigma an asset
• Quality Control background including problem solving and root cause analysis
• Maintain a professional demeanor
• Previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
• Experience working in Quality Assurance
• Strong leadership abilities and confident, consistent, decisive personality
• Must be able to work with little supervision, must be self-directed
• Desire for innovative thinking and continual learning
• Excellent coaching, mentoring, mediating, and negotiating skills
• Computer literacy including effective working skills with MS Office and email required
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
