Communications Manager - Climate Finance - External Relations

the economy In this role, you will work closely with Bloomberg Philanthropies' Climate Finance team, as well as internal and external partners, to amplify the impact of these initiatives by developing and implementing strategic communications plans that raise awareness, engage stakeholders, and drive positive change.

**Responsibilities:**

• Develop and implement strategic communications plans to support Bloomberg Philanthropies' Climate Finance initiatives
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure alignment and maximize impact of communications efforts
• Write and edit a wide range of communications materials, including press releases, op-eds, speeches, talking points, and digital content
• Manage relationships with media outlets, key stakeholders, and partners to promote the work of the Climate Finance team
• Monitor and analyze media coverage and provide regular updates on communications effectiveness
• Support the planning and execution of events, conferences, and other communication activities related to climate finance initiatives
• Stay up-to-date on trends and developments in climate finance, environmental advocacy, and sustainable finance to inform communication strategies

**Qualifications:**

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in communications, with a focus on climate finance, sustainability, or related fields
• Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt content for various audiences and platforms
• Experience developing and implementing strategic communications plans and campaigns
• Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Proven track record of successfully managing media relations and securing press coverage
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of environmental issues, climate finance mechanisms, and sustainable business practices
• Experience working with a diverse team in a collaborative environment
