Core Responsibilities

  • Project Lead responsible for coordinating and developing utility-owned thermal energy network pilot projects
  • Develop successful utility-owned business models and supportive statewide regulatory framework
  • Design rates for each pilot project in coordination with Rate Engineering
  • Develop customer agreement templates and communicate scope and objectives to stakeholders
  • Manage regulatory process of future filings and develop relationships with industry experts
  • Develop and forecast budgets, review project invoices, and provide customer service support
  • Lead benefit-cost analyses and perform other related tasks as required
  • Ensure safe work practices are followed and the environment is fully protected

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of work experience, or Master’s Degree and 2 years of work experience
  • Experience in project management, contract management, and implementing projects
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to collaborate with employees at all levels of management
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working through ambiguity on timelines

Preferred Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant majors and 5-7 years of work experience, or Master’s Degree in technical disciplines and 2 years of work experience in utility clean energy or sustainability
  • Experience with new technologies, utility business models, rate design, thermal energy networks, waste heat recovery, decarbonization, building electrification, or renewable energy
  • Experience working with DPS staff and executive stakeholders and developing customer agreements and contracts
  • Licenses/Certifications: Driver’s License
