Role:

The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) leads efforts to protect open space on the peninsula and in the South Bay. Responsibilities include community and donor base growth strategies, donor acquisition, social media marketing, content marketing, public relations, and brand positioning. This metrics-oriented position drives results against key performance indicators and oversees communication, development operations, and marketing technology infrastructure.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • **Marketing:** Manage POST’s brand, external messaging, and community engagement strategies.
  • **Fundraising:** Direct online and offline fundraising strategies to achieve operating revenues annually.
  • **Management:** Oversee strategic priorities, budgets, and staff development within the marketing team.
  • **Strategic Leadership:** Provide support to the President and executive team members.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in marketing leadership roles
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies
  • Ability to manage fundraising activities and donor databases
  • Excellent communication and team management skills
  • Commitment to conservation and environmental sustainability
