Job description

We're looking for a highly skilled QA Software Engineer who can quickly get up to speed and take over the maintenance and further development of the automated test suite for PVcase Yield product. This is a senior role, so we expect the candidate to have experience leading by example and coaching less senior QA team members. The ideal candidate will ensure that QA is a priority in team processes and development practices. The product involves significant testing across three major domains:

1. Frontend web layer working with UI/UX designers and front-end developers
2. Backend API layer working with Python cloud software engineers
3. Backend calculation layer working with BE engineers and a dedicated Photovoltaics R&D team Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining Cypress-based automated test suite for the web application's frontend
• Enhancing Python-based data validation test suite for simulation accuracy
• Managing test processes, structure, and documentation
• Creating test plans and improving existing test flows
• Overseeing CI/CD pipeline and test runs in AWS CodeBuild
• Contributing to product development by providing a test perspective during feature refinement and planning
• Influencing design, UX, and product requirements from a QA standpoint
• Reporting QA results and bugs to stakeholders

Job requirements

• 4+ years of experience in automated test development
• Proficiency in JavaScript and Cypress (optional if experienced in JS)
• Strong knowledge of API testing, including REST, Swagger, and OpenAPI with tools like Postman
• Intermediate skills in Bash, Python, HTML, and CSS
• Experience in designing testing frameworks and integrating testing tools with build and reporting tools
• Ability to create and manage test cases for individual features and test suites for applications
• Familiarity with Jira and Figma
• Proficient in using git for code updates, PRs, and branches Nice to have:
• Basic knowledge of AWS CodeBuild
• Intermediate skills in Docker and Docker image creation
• Experience with Linux
