Program Manager Europe and Eurasia

**Location:** Remote, USA **Job Level:** Mid Level **Time Type:** Full time

The Europe Eurasia Business Unit seeks a Program Manager M1. E E currently has 23 active projects in ten countries in technical sectors spanning economic growth, education, water, agriculture, democracy, and governance, and peace and stability. The PMU Manager will provide advanced support with project administration and complete professional and administrative tasks related to supporting global project implementation in the E E BU. They will support new business development efforts within E E and companywide. Strong candidates will have a comprehensive understanding of Chemonics systems and policies, demonstrated project management experience, proven organization and communication skills, and experience in problem solving and developing creative solutions. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

**Primary Responsibilities**

  • Responsible for management delegation and execution of day-to-day project tasks including staff management.
  • Engage in new business and technical practices.
  • Collaborate with other Project Management Unit (PMU) and team members.
  • Support and monitor completion of tasks related to aspects of project management performance and compliance.
  • Manages day-to-day support to one or more project teams and clients.
  • Oversees financial aspects of the project's contract or agreement.
  • Identifies issues or potential risks and supports plans and strategies to address those risks.
  • Supports recruitment of project personnel.
  • Actively engages in technical practice of relevance.
  • Supports new business efforts.
  • Supervises, mentors, develops, and evaluates assigned staff.

**Qualifications**

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant project management experience.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring employees preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of donor/client requirements.
  • Demonstrated critical project management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience working on projects while supporting proposals.
  • Demonstrated experience providing regional financial and/or compliance support.
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness in problem-solving.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Language proficiency for assigned geographic area preferred.
  • Previous experience working in international development preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 8 weeks per year.
