This position is hybrid in nature, requiring 2 days/week on-site at the Westinghouse Global Headquarters facility in Cranberry Woods, PA, in the Greater Pittsburgh Area. No relocation will be provided for this position. We are able to entertain all candidates authorized to work without sponsorship now and in the future, as we are unable to sponsor visas for this opportunity.

**Your Day to Day:**

• Perform calculations and analyze the response in a nuclear reactor based on different cases and scenarios.
• Conduct safety analysis based on recurring scenarios as well as new legal requirements or incident reports.
• Write and review reports based on your findings.
• Work in project-based teams in close collaboration with project managers and other Safety Analysis Engineers.
• The work is mainly carried out on our internally developed programs BISON and POLCA-T.

**Who You Are:**

• A Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear preferred that provides a strong technical and theoretical foundation (minimum 3.0 GPA).
• Related education, research, and/or internship.
• Have programming skills, preferably in Python and/or MATLAB.
• Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment.
• Thorough and structured approach to tasks, enjoying solving theoretical problems.
• High level of integrity and ability to follow instructions with accuracy.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

**Nice to Have but Not Required:**

• A Master of Science in Engineering.
