BWX Technologies Inc. is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to provide technical leadership and support for Product Design Engineering tasks and projects in a team environment. The goal is to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of activities to meet customer expectations.

**Responsibilities:**

• Evaluate hardware discrepancies to contract requirements and design integrity
• Perform and review structural and mechanical analyses using computer software and standard engineering principles
• Prepare and review technical reports for customer submission and approval
• Generate and maintain computer models and drawings of component parts and assemblies
• Interface with customers, engineers, and other departments to support engineering objectives
• Other engineering tasks and responsibilities as required

**Minimum Qualifications:**

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Comprehensive knowledge of stress analysis
• Familiarity with engineering drawings and geometric tolerancing
• Strong verbal and technical writing skills
• Established leadership ability and skills
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance

**Preferred Qualifications:**

• Experience with finite element analysis (ANSYS)
• Experience with Pro E Creo CAD software

The base salary range for this position in Ohio, US at the start of employment is expected to be between $62,000.00 and $97,000.00 per year. Salary is based on local job market factors and may vary based on candidate qualifications.
