Intermediate Environmental Scientist Technologist - Emergency Response

**Your Opportunity:**

We are looking for an Intermediate Environmental Scientist Technologist with a focus on Emergency Response to join our Site Investigation and Remediation (SIR) team in Alberta and/or Northwest Territories. This role involves executing emergency response projects under exceptional leadership and being part of a highly skilled team.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide technical and field support for emergency response projects in western Canada
  • Mobilize on short notice, participate in field work, and travel extensively
  • Supervise emergency response contractors and complete cleanup activities
  • Write technical reports
  • Execute routine SIR field projects when emergency response is not required

**Qualifications:**

  • Dedication to working safely within established procedures
  • Clear communication under high-pressure environments
  • Adaptability, organization, critical thinking, and self-motivation
  • Strong communication skills and ability to identify and solve issues
  • Proficiency in MS Office products
  • Previous experience in environmental assessments, monitoring programs, and fieldwork
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and travel on short notice

**Education and Experience:**

  • Post-secondary certificate, diploma, or bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience in environmental assessments and emergency response
  • Previous experience in Phase I, II, and III Environmental Site Assessments
  • Comfortable with office work and fieldwork under varying conditions
