HR Case Advisor
Are you looking for your next role in HR and have a keen interest in Employee Relations? Are you someone who thrives in finding solutions to help benefit others? Our HR Case Advisor role is a part-time position (22.2hrs per week) based on site at Torness Power Station and could be the perfect opportunity for you.
The opportunity
We're seeking an HR Advisor to work with our team of HR Business Partners providing proactive employee relations case support. You'll work with our people managers to address issues across the business, spotting trends and sharing knowledge on individual cases to ensure best practices are developed and used. We value continuous improvement, so will encourage your feedback on processes, procedures, and lessons learned in order to improve our delivery of stakeholder support. You'll proactively drive interventions with people managers to address identified people issues across the business, as well as spotting trends and making recommendations to the wider HR team. There will also be liaison with key functions such as legal and local trade union representatives regarding people issues.

What you will be doing
The key responsibilities for this role include:
- Providing proactive professional HR advice and guidance
- Building effective working relationships with your stakeholders across the business
- Both verbally and in written format assisting managers in relation to your employment case portfolio
- Assisting managers in informal and formal case meetings
- Collaborating with managers and collating required documentation
- Attending formal case meetings and preparing relevant outcome documentation
- Maintaining up-to-date records and suggesting improvements
- Utilizing technology to track progress and record accurate case records
Who you are
Ideally, you will be CIPD level 3 qualified or above, or working towards, or have demonstrable experience in an HR or employee relations role with a good understanding of employment law. If you're looking for the next challenge early on in your HR career and employee relations is of interest, we are also able to consider supporting you with training and development for the role. You should have the ability to interpret data, utilize dashboards to identify trends, and maintain and monitor HR systems while ensuring data accuracy. You'll need experience working with a broad range of stakeholders and have good written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to form strong relationships with a wider team are essential.
