Golf Course Groundskeeper

Legacy Golf Course at the 19 is looking for a Part Time Groundskeeper to join our growing team.

Responsibilities:

• Mow, edge, and fertilize grass on fairways, greens, tees, and roughs to ensure optimal playing conditions
• Perform aeration, topdressing, and overseeding as required
• Plant, water, and maintain plants, trees, and shrubs throughout the golf course
• Trim, prune, and remove debris to ensure a tidy and attractive landscape
• Monitor and operate irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of the golf course
• Identify and control pests, diseases, and weeds that may affect the health of the turf and landscape
• Rake and maintain sand bunkers ensuring proper sand levels and consistency for playability
• Operate and maintain various equipment such as mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, and power tools
• Assist in setting up the golf course for daily play, tournaments, and events
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the golf course facilities
• Follow eco-friendly practices to promote sustainability and minimize environmental impact
• Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations while operating equipment and using chemicals
• Ensure the safety of golfers, staff, and visitors at all times

Qualifications:

• Must complete and obtain Iowa Pesticide Applicators License within 60 days of hire
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Attention to detail
• Reliable and dependable
• Strong customer service skills
• Valid driver's license with a positive driving record required
