Accounts Payable Manager

The Role:

The Accounts Payable Manager will oversee the Accounts Payable function, ensuring our financial processes' efficiency, accuracy, and integrity as we continue to scale. This role requires a strategic approach to optimize workflows, manage vendor relationships, and maintain financial compliance.

• Lead the Accounts Payable team, setting high performance standards and aligning operations with corporate objectives.

• Oversee all aspects of the accounts payable operations, responsible for full AP cycle including ad hoc reporting and testing, reviewing all invoice packaging (AIA, lien waivers, vendor agreement & invoicing compliance, Certificate of Insurance Compliance), and general ledger coding prior to processing, month-end cost accrual, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

• Work closely with Treasury Department to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices.

• Follow up with Project Managers to ensure timely invoice approvals and possible disputes.

• Design accounts payable procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy, adapting to the changing needs of the business.

• Conduct thorough analysis and reporting of accounts payable metrics, providing insights and recommendations to senior management for informed decision-making.

• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes related to accounts payable, contributing to the company's overall financial health.

• Manage vendor relationships and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly and professionally.

• Lead the development and implementation of training programs for the accounts payable team, ensuring staff are proficient in current processes and systems.

• Oversee the preparation and provision of audit documentation, ensuring compliance and transparency in all financial transactions.

  Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant accounts payable experience is required, strongly preferably in the construction or renewable energy sector.

• At least 2 years of managerial experience is preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

• Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, compliance, and financial systems.

• Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication skills and a detail-oriented mindset.

• Ability to work independently and to meet deadlines in busy office environment.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 – Outlook, Excel, and Word.

• Experience with Oracle Cloud or similar systems preferred.
