Job Description

For our office in Hamburg we are looking for a

(SENIOR) FINANCIAL ANALYST – CLEAN ENERGY (F/M/D)

The Financial Modelling & Analytics (FM&A) team provides a variety of financial modeling services to the Investment Management, Asset Management, and Fund Management teams with a focus on the

clean energy portfolio. Amongst other things, the team analyses potential investments concerning financial KPIs, maintains the business plan of acquired investments throughout the holding period and

ensures an efficient data flow to create insightful dashboards. We are looking for a new team member to support us on financial modeling and business analytics tasks.

Your responsibilities

  • You will be actively involved in the analysis of the acquisition of clean energy assets and support the preparation of internal and external documents (decision documents, business cases, and financial reports)
  • You will transform & harmonize financial data of clean energy assets (i.e. Commercial Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement, Financial KPIs)
  • You will support the data extraction & integration and independently create dashboards in Power BI
  • You will run technical and commercial financial model reviews
  • You will further develop and maintain integrated financial models according to the FAST-Standard
  • You will conduct performance attribution analyses, sensitivity analyses, and stress tests on asset level

Your qualifications

  • You hold a university degree ideally with a focus on Corporate Finance, Economics, Quantitative Finance, or Financial Engineering
  • You have in-depth knowledge of best practices in financial modeling and continuous readiness for further training in this area, especially in the modeling language FAST-Standard
  • You have first years of professional experience within a transaction services, M&A environment, or financial planning & analytics (FP&A)
  • You will be considered favorably if you have renewable energy and/or infrastructure experience
  • You have strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • You have precise and reliable working methods coupled with a high degree of independence, implementation strength, and flexibility
  • You have very good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and Power BI
  • You are fluent in English, German skills are an additional advantage
