The National Housing Trust is the only national nonprofit engaged in affordable housing preservation through public policy advocacy, real estate development, and lending. Vision The National Housing Trust envisions a nation where federal, state and local policymakers, private owners and investors, affordable housing practitioners, and the public work together to support quality, healthy neighborhoods with a range of housing options so that families of all income levels have an opportunity to thrive. Mission The National Housing Trust protects and improves existing affordable rental homes so that low income individuals and families can live in quality neighborhoods with access to opportunities. Our Impact The National Housing Trust has preserved or helped to preserve more than 25,000 affordable homes through real estate development, lending, and technical assistance.
