Job Description

We are looking for a Sourcing Manager for harvesting services to join the Finnish team withing Stora Enso Forest Sourcing. This position is permanent and can be based in any Stora Enso location in Finland. You will have the chance to work in hybrid model.

As a Sourcing Manager Harvesting you are responsible for negotiating local contracts and frame agreements, and for delivery of services and potential materials to meet Stora Enso Forest Finland requirements. As a Sourcing Manager you are responsible for keeping negotiated purchases running smoothly by ensuring that contracts cover all the services that Forest Finland needs. You will have a colleague, with whom you will agree the best way of sharing responsibilities to over the harvesting services in the whole Finland.

As a Sourcing Manager your key tasks will include:

  • Participate in developing local sourcing plans
  • Participate in developing of Source to Contract process
  • Plan and run negotiations within given framework and according guidelines
  • To secure the best price for all purchases without jeopardizing quality
  • Capture cross-area synergies
  • Record the results of completed purchasing processes and potential complaints in easy accessible and systematic way (within own responsibility area)
  • Contract Management ensuring usage, development according to needs and help with potential claims, take corrective actions as needed and ensure involvement of legal in timely manner (within own responsibility area)
  • To log tactical and strategical purchases into the purchasing system for proper tracking and classification (within own responsibility area)
  • To maintain database of vendors and contacts within the industry

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a person, who has good communication and influencing skills and excellent ability to negotiate. Your proficiency is based on a BSc or MSc degree in a relevant field and you have a minimum of 3 year’s professional experience in the areas of purchasing. Experience from forestry and especially related to harvesting is very much appreciated.

Skills and qualifications required in this role:

  • Fluent Finnish in written and spoken and good knowledge in written and spoken English
  • Solid team player with ability to work independently and in an international context
  • Proactive, result oriented, willing to take initiative and responsibility
  • Good networking and communication skills with experience acting in matrix organizations
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to a changing working environment
  • Administrative skills and well structured

  • Process and applications skills: SAP MM, MS Office, Outlook
