Intermediate Environmental Scientist Technologist Northern Projects

**Your Opportunity:** We are seeking an Intermediate Environmental Scientist Technologist to join our Site Investigation and Remediation (SIR) team with a focus on projects located within Canada's northern territories. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of and lead the execution of SIR field projects in Canada's north.

**Your Key Responsibilities:**

  • Execution of SIR field projects including compliance monitoring, Phase II and III Environmental Site Assessments, spill response, soil and groundwater sampling, contractor supervision on remediation and reclamation projects in Canada's northern territories.
  • Participating in remote areas field work, staying overnight for multiple days up to the maximum allowable days per legislation.
  • Fulfilling health and safety requirements and completing all work in accordance with established protocols.
  • Supervision of sub-contractors, coordination of scopes of work, writing technical reports, and more.

**Qualifications:**

**Your Capabilities and Credentials:**

  • Dedication to working safely within established procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to work and travel within Canada's northern territories.
  • Adaptability, critical thinking, self-motivation, strong communication skills, and ability to multitask.
  • Proficiency with standard productivity software and experience with digital field data collection tools.
  • Additional skills such as first aid training, WHMIS, UTV operator training, water and soil sampling, and mechanical aptitude are assets.

**Education and Experience:**

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
  • Completed a post-secondary certificate, diploma, or bachelor's degree program in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.
