She brings software engineering, anthropology, sociology, and media studies to this work: a combination that matters when the problem is as much social as technical. Growing up in Vietnam, where sea-level rise and heat already shape daily life, Ha has seen firsthand how environmental collapse deepens existing inequities. That grounding shows in how she approaches her work.
Reflecting on her LFA Fellowship, Ha shares: "Five years into my climate journey, I still find myself reaching for the knowledge, support, and connections that I gained from the Learning for Action Fellowship. It gave me a framework for systems thinking that I apply in everything I do — from software architecture to advocacy."
Ha is building the technical infrastructure for a more flexible, resilient grid, with a clear sense of who that infrastructure is meant to serve.
