Dr. Karine Serfaty
Karine is a seasoned strategy and data executive driving sustainability transformation. She is the founder of Shyftr, a consultancy and education firm dedicated to powering corporate sustainability initiatives with trusted data at scale. She previously held senior strategy and data roles at iconic media companies, helping The New York Times, ITV, and The Economist Group transform themselves and set new foundations for success in response to the twin digital and sustainability disruptions.

She pivoted into climate work following a 20-year career in accounting and reporting with KPMG, during which she advised many of the world’s largest companies. Katherine’s main areas of expertise are corporate sustainability and transparency. In her most recent role with 3Degrees Group Inc., Katherine supported corporate clients with greenhouse gas emissions measurement, climate target setting, climate risk assessment and sustainability reporting.

He is the founder and owner of IT Climate Ed, providing consulting and education services in digital sustainability. He holds a certifications in Machine Learning and LLMs, is a graduate of the INRIA Environmental Impacts of Digital Technologies program, a Terra.do fellow and is certified in GHG Scope 3 measuring.
François Burra is a sustainable digital and low-carbon product consultant, mentor, and speaker with several successful turns as a Product Lead and UX Designer and 13 years of experience working with startups and agencies in Canada and the US. He helps digital companies reduce their digital emissions by delivering training, measuring digital emissions, and creating low-carbon experiences. He has trained individuals and teams in a variety of organizations such as Huge, ServiceNow, Planes, fruggr, Accenture Song, Cossette, etc. He recently wrote the climate product playbook “How to Become a Climate-Conscious Product Manager”. François is also a Terra.do fellow, completing Climate Change: Learning for Action in 2022.
