Dr Jeff Hardy has over 20-years academic, policy and business experience in sustainable energy. He has helped clients around the world understand the implications of zero carbon futures on business models and strategy, consumers, customers and citizens, policy and regulatory frameworks and energy systems. Jeff is currently a Senior Research Fellow at the Grantham Institute at Imperial College London, where he leads a team in the UK Energy Revolution Research Consortium examining the policy and regulation of smart local energy systems. He is also a Non-Executive Director of Public Power Solutions, Deputy Chair of the UK Power Networks Customer Engagement Group, and Director of Sustainable Energy Futures Ltd. Previously he was Head of Sustainable Energy Futures at the GB energy regulator, Ofgem and Head of Science for Work Group III of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. He’s also worked at the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, the UK Energy Research Centre, the Royal Society of Chemistry, the Green Chemistry Group at the University of York and at Sellafield as a research chemist in a nuclear laboratory.

Daniel is marine geophysicist, startup advisor and podcast host. An Explorationist with over 13 years of experience working with marine seismo-acoustic data for de-risking site surveys, marine installations and submarine facilities. He is exploring how to encourage people and businesses to accelerate the energy transition revolution. Inspired by climate tech leaders and startups who are working hard on fighting climate change, Daniel is sharing their voices co-hosting the ClimateTech Talks podcast and writing at the Explorationists substack.

David is an engineer, geoscientist, business developer, sales professional, and also a scrabble amateur, fascinated by how technology has the power to create a more inclusive society and economy, especially in a post-COVID world. He is passionate about the true potential of people (in particular of those overlooked or under-represented) and the intersection between ClimateTech solutions, venture capital, and forward looking policy to accelerate the energy transition.
